1938 ~ 2021

It is with a heavy heart that Mona announces that her beloved husband of 60 years, Roy William Enslen, passed away at St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice in Medicine Hat, on Monday, October 25, 2021, at the age of 83 years. He was born on April 5, 1938, in Wisdom, AB. Roy married the love of his life, Mona Dianne Lutz in Medicine Hat on November 19, 1960. He loved to drive truck and drove for a number of different companies most of his life. When he wasn’t driving truck you could find him ‘BS-ing’ and having coffee while discussing current events with his friends. It wasn’t until later in life that Roy took up woodworking as one of his favorite hobbies and past times including watching baseball. Roy belonged to the Royal Canadian Legion, UCT – United Commercial Travelers, the Elks, the Oil Mens Club and was a life member of the Moose. Roy’s memory will be forever treasured in the hearts of his wife, Mona; sons, Steve (Nichol) Enslen and Todd Enslen; grandchildren, Devin Enslen, Melissa (Rob) Enslen, Alisha Enslen; great-granddaughter, Ayva Beebe and special granddaughter, Gemma; siblings, Gordon (Bev) Enslen, Joyce (Merv) Petersen, Vern (Kandace) Enslen and Marlene (Ed) Obridgewitch. Roy was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Mary Enslen, father-in-law, Fred Lutz and mother-in-law, Tina Lutz. A Celebration of Roy’s Life will take place at a later date. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Roy’s name may be directed to a charity of one’s choice.
