JUSTIN LEE TRAINER

Posted: November 24th, 2021

Justin Lee Trainer resident of Grande Prairie, AB; formerly of Medicine Hat, AB; passed away on November 17, 2021 at his parents home in Grand Prairie at the age of 35 years.

Mourning his sudden passing: parents Russell & Audrey Trainer of Grande Prairie, AB, brother Jaret (Danielle) Trainer and their children Brei & Braxtyn of Grande Prairie.

He will be sadly missed by his old and new friends, aunt Jeri Trainer, aunt Marion (Albert) Christmann, uncles Merle & Marvin Kaudt, grandpa Herb Klaudt, relatives and friends of his parents.

He will also be missed by cousins Brian (Lana) Christmann and Jason Christmann, Robin Cowan and Brent (Laura) Cowan, Renea and Corrine and aunt Sharon.

Justin was predeceased by grandma Linda Trainer (1993), grandma Alice Klaudt (1994), grandpa Ken Trainer (2004), and uncle Harold Klaudt (2011).

Justin was born in Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on November 22, 1985. He attended Seven Persons School ECS to Grade 9, graduated grade 12 from Eagle Butte High School in 2003. He was employed as a Rig Hand 2004 – 2007, BOS SOLUTIONS GP 2008 – 2015, Est Company JLT Contracting Inc 2011 – 2016, In-Line Drilling (ER & best friend Russ) 2017, Big Stick Rentals (ER & mentor Kevin) 2018 – 2020 September – November 2021

Justin bonded with grandma Trainer from the time of his birth and liked playing crib with grandpa Trainer. As a child he had fun visits at the ranch with grandma & grandpa Klaudt and uncles Harold & Merle. He developed a special relationship with aunt Jeri, uncle Merle, friends Val and Seb.

Justin was heartbroken when he parted with the gal he thought was the love of his life in 2014. He also suffered with severe pain due to scoliosis, he had extensive back surgery in February 2015. He continually struggled with emotional and physical pain along with sleep issues.

Justin enjoyed spending time with his brother, sister-in-law and being an uncle to Brei and Braxtyn. His dog Buddy, which he got as a puppy in 2015, was his Best Bud and meant the world to him. To destress Justin would walk Buddy and Blue (Jaret’s dog) or work out at the gym when able to.

Justin consumed several bottles or glasses of water each day, his favourite colour was blue and sweet dark chocolate candy. He thought it was funny when I would occasionally find an empty package of my baking milk chocolate Hershey’s Mini Kisses that went missing.

He laughed when you would say “he would always be our baby bear”, smiled when we said “we wud love him and his bro always, forever to eternity”. We so miss his hugs, the sound of his voice, his sarcastic remarks meant to be funny and texts.

Highlights for Justin in 2021, his Rehabilitation Graduation Ceremony at the Calgary Dream Centre on July 2nd; attending his longtime friend Chris (Jessica) Burkett wedding celebration at Peace River, AB on July 17th; ownership of his black Ford Harley Davidson truck.

Justin was very loved and supported by family and friends through his life journey.

We have to believe the angels came to take him home, as he was so tired of the constant challenges and obstacles to achieve better, brighter, happier, healthier; also hoping and wishing for his dreams to come true.

A private gathering to be held in Grande Prairie for his friends, also a private gathering in Medicine Hat for family and friends.

Arrangements are being made for his final resting place with Saamis Prairie View Cemetery, Medicine Hat, AB.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Justin’s memory to The Calgary Dream Centre Rehabilitation Services.

  1. Joe and Anne Stopanski says:

To the family of Dear Justin
It is with great sadness to hear of your great loss of your dear son. We babysat Justin when he was just a little guy, I think around 2 years old. He brought us a lot of smiles and happiness. Joe’s favorite story is when he was still in bed one morning and Justin came into the bedroom with a toy hockey stick and hit Joe over his head, I guess he wanted him to get up. We will never forget the little boy that grew up into such a handsome man. Our hearts go out to all of you!
    With sincere sympathy,
    Joe and Anne Stopanski
