1940 ~ JOAN LEONOVICH ~ 2021

Joan Elizabeth Leonovich of Medicine Hat, passed away on Saturday, December 18th, 2021 at the age of 81 years. Joan leaves to cherish her memory her husband, John Leonovich; children, Richard (Rick) Leonovich, Yvonne (Richard) Hogan and Victoria “Vicki” (Don) Boone; grandchildren, Everett (Claire) Lyonheart, Emily Betemps, Thane Hogan, Jolyene Hogan, Grace Hogan and Anesia Boone; brother, Walter Holt; sister, Ruth (Cecil) Riggan; brother-in-law, Roy (Hilda) Leonovich; sisters-in-law, Ruby Schoemaker and Inez Holt; brother-in-law, Bill Hutchison; special friends, Brian Goodman and Robert Goodman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her parents, Fredrick and Elizabeth Holt; daughter, Elizabeth Teresa in infancy; grandson, Ryan in infancy; brother, Art Holt; brother-in-law, Neil Schoemaker; sister-in-law, Diane Hutchison; mother-in-law, Ottilia Leonovich; honourary grandma, Anne Simaluk; and special friend, Lucille Goodman and her sons, Scott, Keith and Christopher Goodman. Joan’s greatest love was her husband, John of 61 years and her family. Joan loved spending time outdoors gardening, fishing, camping, enjoyed listening to music and spending time with family and friends. The private graveside service will be held later in the spring.     To John and Family: This was quit a shock to us. She will be dearly missed. She always had a smile. Pat will miss the Christmas mince meat tarts. We will aways remember the Friday coffee and Friday night meals. Our thoughts are with you at this time. Take care of yourself and stay healthy.
