1944 ~ JOHANNE GAETZ ~ 2021

Johanne Elizabeth Gaetz of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of Leo Gaetz, passed away on Wednesday, December 29th, 2021 at the age of 77 years. She also leaves to cherish her memory her children, Murray Gaetz and Kayley (Trent) Samoil; grandchildren, Parker Samoil and Chynna (Rhys Fingas) Samoil; brother, Clarence Tell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Johanne was predeceased by her parents, Jozef and Kathleen Tell. Johanne was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved the outdoors and was enthusiastic about the times she could spend camping with her family. She had many talents and enjoyed various crafts and liked interior design. Johanne lived her life according to her Christian faith and values and was a devoted supporter of St. Thérèse and the mission of the Society of the Little Flower of Jesus. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 1Z5, on Tuesday, January 4th, 2022 at 6:00 pm to 6:55 pm. Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, January 4th, 2022 at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 1451 Strachan Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB, T1B 4V3, on Wednesday, January 5th, 2022, at 11:00 am with Fr. Iqbal Khurshid, Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Section at Hillside Cemetery. The family respectfully requests that anyone planning to attend be double vaccinated. All other Covid-19 restrictions will be strictly adhered to.
