She was predeceased by Russell, her husband of seventy eight years and two of her sons, Wayne and Tim.

As a mother, a grandmother and a friend, she has gently encouraged us, by her shining example, to keep moving forward, one step at a time, through any challenges we may face in life.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Mildred’s name may be made directly to STARS, 1441 Aviation Park NE, PO Box 570, Calgary, Alberta T2E 8M7 (www.stars.ca) or to HALO Air Ambulance, 12 – 1 Airport Drive SW, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 5G4 (www.haloairambulance.com).

With gratitude, the family would like to acknowledge her friends, and staff members at Meadowlands Memory Lane and the care that Mildred and Russell received during their stay. They would also like to recognize the staff at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital for her frequent treatment there but most particularly when she celebrated her hundredth birthday. The nursing staff surprised Mildred with an impromptu birthday celebration when her family could not gather with Mildred due to covid restrictions. It is with their deepest gratitude and sincere appreciation that the family recognize Bonita at Medicine Hat Home Care. Thank you for your exemplary support and care of Mildred; your attention to her comfort and wellbeing comforted the family too, in so many ways! Also, thank Medicine Hat Community Paramedics Team.
