VIOLA “VI” GOULET

1945 – 2022

Vi Goulet of Medicine Hat, AB, passed away on May 11th, 2022, at the age of 76 years. Vi was born on July 24th, 1945, in Stettler, AB, and raised in Youngstown, AB.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Charles (Raquel), Chester (Gonnie) and Devon (Tanya); daughters, Audrey (Todd) Klein and Daneen (Kevin) Fitterer; grandchildren, Melissa, Taylor, Maria, Tristan, Talia, Jasmine, Jonathan, Samantha, Melissa, Michael and Tyler; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia (Allen) Kowalik and Lauretta (Bob) Stevens; and brother-in-law, John Koenig.

She was predeceased by her parents Loretta and Joseph Rheaume; long-time partner, Joseph Gugyelka; son, Leon (1989); and sister, Mary Anne Koenig.

Vi enjoyed photography, genealogy, doing her Sudoku, travelling and working in her yard and of course, spending time with her family and having coffee with her friends. Until she passed, she prayed her rosary and read her pray books daily.

The funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Parish – 1451 Strachan Rd SE on Tuesday, May 17th at 1:00PM with Father Roque Pereira officiating. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so an hour before service time. The funeral mass will be live streamed, starting at 12:45PM.
