It is with extremely heavy hearts that the family of Jodi Albrecht announce her sudden passing at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the age of 48 years. Jodi was born in Bow Island to Lawrence “Larry” and Mavis Weatherhead and was raised in Burdett. After graduating from Senator Gershaw School in 1991, she attended beauty school in Lethbridge. Jodi prided herself in being a stay at home mom while also helping out at her family’s businesses which included her father’s John Deere dealership, her husband’s oilfield services company and at the family restaurant. Caring for her family, friends and pets, cooking and entertaining were just a few of her many hobbies. Some of Jodi’s most memorable occasions were family trips to tropical destinations and spending time boating out at the family cabin. Her family is honoured to know that she gave the gift of life through organ donation, so others can continue to live on with their families. Jodi raised three beautiful daughters and was an amazing and supportive wife, mother, sister and daughter. Jodi’s memory will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Mark Albrecht; three daughters, Jade Rushford (Colton), Krystin (Brandon) Mastel and Teah Rushford (Gage); sisters, Shannon Weatherhead (Kelly McCoy), Michele (Ron) Smith and Tami Weatherhead (Burke Torscher); mother-in-law, Marian Albrecht; brother-in-law, Tyler Albrecht as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Lawrence “Larry” and Mavis Weatherhead and father-in-law, Terry Albrecht. A private celebration of Jodi’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel with Pastor Murray Jaster officiating.
