TERRANCE JOHN HILMOE “Terry” 1951 – 2024 On Monday morning, March 11, 2024, Terry Hilmoe passed away in Cranbrook Respite care at Kootenay Street Village at the age of 72 years. Terry was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan on December 5, 1951 to his parents Justin and Phyllis (Spink) Hilmoe. Terry was one of four children born to them.
Terry was one who always enjoyed his life no matter what the case may be. Medicine Hat was where he lived and worked for many years and it is here he wanted to come back to. He had such a positive outlook and never ever gave up. Terry married Donna on May 25, 1996 and enjoyed their life in Medicine Hat. Terry and Donna truly enjoyed their pets and Terry truly loved his fur babies. For the last four years, he and Donna enjoyed Moyie Lake in BC. Here he loved taking his golf cart around the Owl’s Nest park to visit the neighbors. He will be missed by his neighbors and friends.
Left to mourn his passing is his beloved wife and best friend, Donna and his children; Michael Hilmoe (Red Deer), David (Kris) Hilmoe (Medicine Hat), Curtis (Rachel (Medicine Hat), as well as Donna’s children Darcy (Laurie) and Tim (Nancy) Pfaff (North Dakota) her daughter Suzy Mittleider (Jim) of Arizona and Christopher (Jessica) Lysiak (Strathmore). Terry leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his siblings Myrna, Vern and Deanna. Terry was predeceased by his parents, Justin and Phyllis Hilmoe and one grandson Travis Mittleider.
A Celebration of Life will take place in Medicine Hat at a later date. Condolences may be left for the family at www.markmemorial.com
