CHRISTMAN Vi passed away peacefully with her family at her side, on March 16th, 2024 at the age of 95 years. Vi was born August 26th,1928 in Irvine, AB, the daughter of Martha and Karl Sulz. Mom spent her early years in Irvine, until the family moved to Medicine Hat, when she was sixteen. Vi met her husband, Albert, in 1946 and raised seven children, one daughter, and six sons together. They lived in Millicent for several years and then moved to Bassano, AB. Vi worked in the kitchen at the Bassano Hospital, Bassano Cake Board, and Bassano Honey Plant. Viola had a passion and love of gardening and baking. Vi was active with the Willing Workers and the Bassano Royal Purple for over 60 years. Mom had 56 years of perfect attendance and was a 60-year charter member. Viola leaves a trove of memories for her family, Betty Ann, Jerry (Cheryl), Larry (Gerri), daughter-in-law Lois and Doug (Kelly). Viola has 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Viola is also survived by her sister Anne Becker of Medicine Hat, Alberta and many nieces and nephews. Viola was predeceased by her husband Albert; sons, Brian, Randy and Dale; great-grandson Alex; son-in-law Rick Robson and her parents and four brothers. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 24th at 2:00 PM from Knox Presbyterian Church, Bassano. Rev. Peter Baek officiating. Interment at Bassano Cemetery.
