JOHN KAHL 1953 – 2025 Following a courageous battle, John Michael Kahl beloved husband of Mary Hope Kahl of Medicine Hat, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at the age of 71 years. John was born on April 27, 1953, in Medicine Hat to Frances and John Kahl. Throughout his life he enjoyed his hobbies of woodworking, fishing, golf, camping, wine making, cooking and baking. He was a long-time member of the ACT/UCT. John will be remembered as a caring husband, a loving father, and the best papa to his grandchildren. His family was the most important part of his life. He worked hard and gave all of his love to those around him. Besides his loving wife Mary, John leaves to cherish his memory two children Cameron (Emma) Kahl and Kendra (Mathew) Todd; two grandchildren Ethan and Tillie Kahl; his sister Lorraine Malm. He was predeceased by his parents Frances (Sebit) and John Kahl. Condolences to you Mary and your family at John’s passing. I met you at the Jazzfest many years ago when you were volunteering and you were very helpful.. I didn’t see you at any Jazzfests after that. i had known John through the office i worked in and you reintroduced us and we had a conversation.
