DARBY GAGNON Oct. 13, 1965 ~ Sept. 26, 2025 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Darby Gagnon, a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, who passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025, surrounded by family.
Darby will be deeply missed by his wife, Laurie; son, Tyler (Sophie); daughter, Teneal (Jackson); sister, Carmen along with many extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Ella Gagnon and his in-laws, Jerry and Mary Hager.
Born and raised in Medicine Hat, Darby was a devoted family man and friend. He loved golfing, biking, cooking, walking his dog Cargo, and cheering on the Edmonton Oilers. Above all, his greatest joy was time spent with Laurie, Tyler, and Teneal.
Vigil Prayers will be recited at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 13 Street SW, Medicine Hat on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 7:00 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Parish, 1451 Strachan Rd S.E., Medicine Hat on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. with Father Fernando Genogaling celebrant. Both Vigil Prayers and the Funeral Mass will be live-streamed.
