Bill was born in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan and was raised in the Didsbury, Alberta area. He spent his early years tearing up the local saloons and getting into the occasional drunken fight. He met the love of his life, Katie, in 1960 and married May 12th, 1962, and their three children followed. Bill always had a strong work ethic which was demonstrated in the multiple jobs he worked in his early adulthood before starting his own business, B.W. Trucking. He loved trucking until his retirement, working for businesses such as Industrial Backhoe, Steep Rock, and Transit Paving. There are not many roads in Southern Alberta that Bill has not driven.
Bill was a cowboy at heart, loved a good western, and was also a WWE fanatic. He was known as the life of the party, always seen dancing and singing with a specialty in yodeling. He was playful and beloved by us all. His joy of the little things in life was infectious to those around him, his laughter filling any room. He was truly one of a kind and is leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication. He will forever be our Wild Bill.
