VOSBURGH CathiePosted: December 13th, 2012
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Cathie Theresa Vosburgh at the young age of 56.
Mom passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 9th, 2012 at the Chinook Regional Hospital after a long & courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Cathie was a loving wife to Garry Vosburgh and a mother to Cari (Josh) Johnston, Tyler Arsenault and Valerie Vosburgh and grandmother to Jordyn, Rylan and Sawyer Johnston, all of Lethbridge. Cathie also leaves behind three big brothers; Rick (Evelyn) Orsten of Edmonton, Sandy (Margaret) Orsten of Calgary, and Pat (Pauline) Orsten of Lethbridge as well as many nieces and nephews. Cathie was predeceased by her father Jens Henry (Happy) Orsten, and Isabel (Issy) Orsten, her best friend and mother. Our mom lived her life guided by passion of things she loved to do and with complete conviction of her heart. Mom touched peoples’ lives along the way with her “spit fire” personality right till the end. Her greatest joy in life was her 3 grandchildren. She could always be found cheering on her grandson Jordyn at his baseball games or taking her granddaughters Rylan and Sawyer to the movies. We would also like to give thanks to the dedicated nurses and staff at the Jack-Ady Cancer Center, Dr. Gord Hunt, the Palliative Care team and the staff of unit 4B at the Chinook Regional Hospital for the tender loving care our mother received. We couldn’t be more grateful. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held at the COLLEGE DRIVE COMMUNITY CHURCH, 2710 College Drive South, Lethbridge, AB., on Friday, December 14th 2012, at 2:00 p.m. We ask all those who knew mom to join us in celebrating her life.
