GIFFORD Harold

Mr. Harold Gifford beloved husband of Marjorie Gifford of Pincher Creek, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at the Pincher Creek Hospital at the age of 84 years. Harold was born on April 6, 1929 in Summerview, Alberta, and was the only child of Lloyd & Bertha Gifford. At a young age Harold started to farm & ranch with his dad in the Summerviw area, which he continued to do until his passing. He enjoyed the outdoors, working with the cattle and fixing the machinery. Lloyd and Harold also operated the Gifford Sawmill & supplied the lumber for the Summerview Hall in 1949. He also helped start the Heritage Acres Farm Museum, for the local and surrounding areas. In 1990 Harold and Marjorie (McKee) Kenney were married. They spent many years in Arizona during the winters, where they enjoyed the warm weather and the fresh fruit, especially the grapefruit. Harold is survived by his wife Marjorie, three step children Beverly Lorraine (Kenney) Wood, Byron Ross Kenney and James Charles Kenney, he also has an extended family in Pincher Creek and Ontario.
