SHANNON MAUREEN STOCKTON of Coaldale, beloved wife of Mark Stockton and mother of Liam and Wyatt Stockton, passed away peacefully at St. Michael’s Palliative Care Unit after a courageous battle with cancer, and her family by her side, on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the age of 48 years. She was born April 28, 1966 in Calgary and resided in Toronto for a short time with her parents, and then returned to the Calgary area where she finished school. Shannon worked numerous years for Calgary Co-op until she started the next phase of her life. Besides her loving husband Mark, she is survived by her sons Liam (8) and Wyatt (7). She is also survived by her mother Margaret Kemp, sister Cindy (Fred) Giles, brother Shaun (Wendy) Kemp; in-laws Jack and Anita Stockton; one brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Shannon was predeceased by her father Fredrick Kemp. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, COALDALE CHAPEL, 2216-21 A. Avenue, Coaldale. Friends may meet the family prior to the service from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m.
