PLOMP, Catherine “Elaine”
(nee Patterson) October 21, 1927 – Rockglen, SK November 30, 2015 – Calgary, AB
Elaine Plomp passed away peacefully on November 30th, 2015 at 88 years. Elaine is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Rowlandson (Wayne) and Nancy Plomp; grandchildren, Ben Rowlandson, Carrie Rowlandson, Clayton Whatmore (Courtney), Jamie Hardy and Chance Plomp– Schweitzer; granddaughter-in-law, Jennie Johansson; great- grandchildren, Alex Rowlandson, Randal and Gavin Hardy and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Albert (Dutch), her daughter Wendy and her brothers Jim and Jack Patterson. Elaine was a graduate from Western Canada High School and told her grandchildren stories about how she would take her time getting to her classes when baseball games were being broadcast. Her greatest joys were spending time with family, reading novels and cheering on the Blue Jays. She enjoyed crafts especially folk art painting. Dutch and Elaine spent many years travelling. They especially enjoyed their time at the condo in Sidney, BC. At Elaine’s request there will be a private family service. Please forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
