ARIE DEKLERK, passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre, on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the age of 70 years.
He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 47 years on (May 2nd), Martha: his children: Sandra (Ted), Debra (Naz), Ken (Jodi) and Curtis (Catherine) and 11 grandchildren. In addition to his immediate family, he also enjoyed being the Canadian father to the many foreign students who stayed at their home.
Arie was the oldest son of Dirk and Aagje deKlerk and a brother to 10 siblings.
He devoted his life to his family, his church and most importantly to God. He made many friends through his open and generous nature.
God’s love shined through him in all areas of his life and he will be truly missed by many.
A Memorial Service will be held at MARANATHA CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 260 McGill Blvd. West, Lethbridge, AB., on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11:00 A.M.

I am so sorry.
I don’t think I knew Arie as well as I might have liked to have known him, but I do know that he was on of the kindest, funniest, and nicest people I have ever known. To all of his family, especially Martha, I wanted to offer my most sincere condolences.

Our condolences to you! I lerned a lot with Arie during the period I studied in Lethbridge! He was my father and I am surprised to discover he gone to our Lord!
I expected to visit him one day after left Canada and came back to Brazil! Unfortunatly I could not have chance to meet him again!
