(Di Rocco)
1960 – 2016
It is with shattered hearts that we sadly announce that Julia Bluekens, beloved wife of Garth Bluekens, left us on May 15, 2016 just 10 days after her 56th birthday. Besides the love of her life, her husband Garth, she will be lovingly remembered and gravely missed by her daughter Kristin (Trevor) Bartha, the recent light of her life, her grand-daughter Briella Julianna Bartha, her son Jordan Ully; her best friend and sister Piera (Al) Baldwin, niece Laura (Doug) Brodie, nephew Christopher (Penny) Brown and a special great niece Brooklyn Angiolina Brown. She is also survived by her father Giulio Di Rocco, mother-in-law Kay Bluekens, a brother Dario, sisters:Rosanna, Tina, Rita and Diana, Garth’s sister Lisa (D’ Arcy), brother Scott (Annabelle) and their son Adam. Julia was predeceased by her Mother Teresa Angiolina Di Rocco and her sister Anna Ellena Di Rocco. Julia was a devoted wife, loving mother, a very proud Nonna not to mention a great friend and sister. Julia’s greatest joy was her family. She was never so happy and proud as to when she became a Nonna to little Miss Briella. Julia loved to be in the kitchen cooking, working on yet another needlepoint project and most of all working in the garden with Garth and her dogs, Koochie and Charlie. We love you Julia and you will leave a large hole in our hearts! A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, May 20, 2016 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 Street South, Lethbridge, AB., with Pastor Rodger Halvorsen officiating.
