CARROL LAVERN LITCHFIELD SHAW, beloved wife of the late Kenneth Walter Shaw of Raymond, passed away at the Raymond Long Term Care on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the age of 92 years. She is the loving mother of Collin (Heather) Shaw of Calgary, Judith (Robert) Harris of Taber, Bruce (Carolyn) Shaw, Decon (Jeanan) Shaw, Scott (Pamela) Shaw – all of Raymond. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, sister; Joy (Bill) Fairbanks, sisters-in-law; Jean Litchfield, Lucille Shaw, Betsy Shaw, Lavonne (Murray) Pack and Janice Shaw. Carrol grew up in Raymond and raised her family there. The most important thing to Mom is her family and went out of her way to do anything for them. She was an active member of the church, and held various positions throughout her life. She loved doing genealogy and French extraction. Carrol also loved the temple. She loved helping people and did many acts of service in the community. Music was a great comfort to her and she will be missed by many. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, KNIGHT STREET CHAPEL, Raymond, Alberta from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. or from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Funeral Services will be held at the church on Monday, October 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Darryl Gibb officiating. Interment to follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond.
