FAWNS, Alma
Posted: June 22nd, 2017ALMA BURNHAM FAWNS, passed away peacefully on June 19th, 2017 at the young age of 99 years. She is survived by her daughters Leanne White and Denna Walters and their families. Alma was predeceased by her husband Willis A. Fawns, her parents and her four brothers and five sisters. Alma was born in Claresholm, Alberta and spent most of her young years growing up in the Cardston/Glenwood area. Alma married Willis Fawns on November 8, 1943. They settled in Stirling where they farmed and raised their two daughters. They later moved to Lethbridge where they continued to enjoy a small-town lifestyle. After being a widow for many years, Alma married Walter Sievers. They only had a few years together as Walter passed away in 2004. Mom spent her later years at the Heritage Lodge in Lethbridge. This was home and she loved living there. She enjoyed walking in the neighbourhood and downtown. She was happy to let everyone know that she could still walk eight blocks a day (with the help of her trusted walker). There will be a small family gathering on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 205 Fairmont Blvd. South, Lethbridge. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice.
