DAY CHIEF-CREIGHTON

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our precious ANDREA TARA DAY CHIEF-CREIGHTON, who was called home to join the love of her life Charles Davis on February 26, 2018. Beloved mother to Brendon Hudson Noah Eagle Bear, Michael Jett Eagle Bear, & Michaela Andie Eagle Bear whom she loved dearly. Tara is survived by her parents, Lucille (Eugene) White Quills and Andrew Winold (Benita) Creighton. Father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wayne & Christine Davis

Tara was the apple of her dad’s eye. She was a mischievous and treasured little girl who left lasting memories by the many pet names given to her by various relatives and friends, to name a few, “terrible Tara” and “little hutterite”.

Tara was the only child with her father for many years. Together they travelled to many rodeos and would be with her dad when he was farming and attending to the livestock. She loved swimming, bowling, family barbeques, going to the show, attending many different functions with her dad. Their bond was very special and strong and was her dad’s number one fan when he competed at rodeos. Dad made sure Tara went to Church where she developed a strong faith with her father and began her journey doing her Search and making her Cursillo. She and Charles made their “Live-in” together in 2013. After Charles’ passing, her Mom and Grandma June took her to Lac St. Anne to help with her healing process. Tara made her Mom & Dad proud when she completed her education. When Tara was unable to work, her Mom & Dad supported her in every way.

Tara received her education in Fort Macleod, Catholic Central High School and Reeves College & Lethbridge College. She received a Health Care Certificate and Accounting and Payroll Certificate and was employed at the Blackfoot Womens’ Lodge as an Executive Assistant/Receptionist.

After being injured in an accident that left her unable to work in physically demanding jobs, Tara focused on being a mother and homemaker. We will not forget her kind, generous nature with her witty sense of humour and she developed many strong ties with everyone she met. The happiest moments of her life was the birth of her three special children, Hudson, and the twins, Michael and Michaela who were doted on by both grandparents receiving many helping hands from family.

Tara was a big sister to her siblings, developing special bonds with Eugene (Cary Brown), Jade, Jeanelle, Mary and Angela, also strong bonds with Hank, Gordie, Lydia, Jace, Lennie & Alfreda. She was always there when they needed her. Tara loved to spend time with her nieces and nephews. She spoiled them with hugs and kisses and often referred to them as “my baby”. She would tell her children, siblings, nieces and nephews that she believed in them and to continue to try hard.

Tara’s cousins and friends have fond memories of time spent together, visiting, sleep overs, cruising around, listening to music, attending different functions and eating at her dad’s favourite restaurant, “Shanghai”. She would treat everyone and put it on her dad’s tab. As a toddler her mom and grandma “Piiksii” sewed a traditional outfit for her. Tara attended one pow-wow and was spooked by the other dancers’ outfits. One Halloween she dressed up as a hutterite and earned the nick name little hutterite. During the cabbage patch trend, Tara and her cousins hid the dolls in the closet after watching a scary movie so they could sleep. Her brother Cary Brown and Jade, when visiting with Tara, would often joke with Tara about the menu which was always hamburger helper and rice.

Her interests were playing aggravation and dice with her siblings, and watching Investigation Discovery and keeping up with the current events.
