JENSEN, Allen
Posted: May 9th, 2018ALLEN ROYCE JENSEN, born May 18, 1942 in Cardston, AB to Lois Ellison and Grant Maxwell Jensen, passed away May 2, 2018 at the age of 75 in Yuma, AZ.
Allen was a physician of 47 years. He was still helping patients several days a week up until February 19th when Cancer of the Liver snuck up on him. (Please note: Annual checkups including Ferratin Labs and iron levels are very important.)
Allen was a man of 100 hobbies. His interests included skiing, camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, mountain man retreats, putting many thousands of miles on his motorcycle each year, woodworking etc. Allen loved to research and learn. Jeremy said his dad knew more than Google.
Allen was an activity member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, especially in the young men’s program. He was a Queen Scout in Canada (equivalent to the Eagle Scout) and encouraged several boys in Millville, Utah to pursue their Eagle Scout award.
Allen was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, compassionate physician and friend. Several of his patients have become good friends. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Evelyn Lola Kay (Nelson) Jensen, their 5 children and 10 grandchildren namely Sherri Casper (daughter) & Shannon Schilling; Dr. Jordon Jensen(son) & wife Janel Jensen and their children Schuyler, Emma, Eliza, Carter and Hannah; Dr. Candice Jensen-White (daughter) & husband Brian White; Dr. Jeremy Jensen (son) & wife Angela Jensen and their children Alex and Abrianna; Kristi (daughter) & husband Dan Jones and their children Ella, Oliver and Leo. He is also survived by his sisters Myrna Jensen and Jane-Marie Sandberg.
Friends may meet the family on Friday, May 11th, 2018, at the Legacy Funeral Home 107 6 St W, Cardston, AB from 7:00 to 8:00 p m or at the church on Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 am prior to the service.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, South Hill Chapel 9th Avenue and Highway 2, Cardston, Alberta on Saturday, May 12th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in the Cardston Cemetery.
