JOHN DUDAS, beloved husband of Olga Dudas, passed away suddenly at home on Friday, September 21, 2018 at the age of 66 years.
Besides his loving wife of 43 years, Olga, John is survived by his daughter Kristy Lauzon (Jeremy) and his grandchildren Owen & Sydney, who were the light of his world. He is also remembered by his sister Elizabeth (John) Unger; brothers Steve Sr. (Ellie), Sandor Sr. (Irene) and Bill (Brenda) Dudas, all of Lethbridge and Zoltan (Malvin) of Nyirkarasz, Hungary, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
John was predeceased by his son, Michael Dudas, parents George and Elizabeth Dudas, sisters Martha Allen and Margaret Fekete (Nyirkarasz, Hungary), brother Illes Dudas (Nyirkarasz, Hungary) and many other in-laws.
John started his trades career working for Derochie Painting in 1980 and valued the many friendships he made with colleagues and clients over the years. He took great pride in his workmanship and remained loyal to this company until the day he passed away.
John was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer six years ago and was a warrior in his battle, earning the nickname, “Bionic Man”. We are grateful to Drs. Brigden, Shukkoor and C. Walsh along with the nurses at the Jack Ady Cancer Centre and his doctors in Calgary for their compassionate and skilled care in prolonging our precious time with him.
John will be remembered by his family and friends for his quick wit, sarcastic humour and the strength and courage he demonstrated to the end of his journey. He will be deeply missed.
A Prayer Service will be held at ST. BASIL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 604-13th Street North, Lethbridge, AB, on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. with Sharon Hagel officiating.

John was a pleasure to know I wasn’t aware of his passing. Rest in peace with a paint brush my friend.
Sincerely

I was very sorry to learn of “Uncle John’s” passing. I have many great memories of him teaching us about soccer and being men. We had so much fun and laughed a lot in the process.
I’d like to extend my deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences to Olga, Kristy, and the entire Dudas family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Sincerely,
Lothar Schmidt
