Gusztav “Gus” Horvath
1935 – 2022
Mr. Gusztav “Gus” Horvath of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Helen Horvath, passed away peacefully at Good Samaritans – Park Meadows surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at the age of 86 years.
Gus was born in Hungary on August 12, 1935. Gus and Helen met in Hungary and were married on July 9, 1955. They immigrated to Canada in May of 1957. Gus started his career at CPR in 1959 and remained there until his retirement in 1989.
Gus is survived by his loving wife Helen and his children Helen, Julius and Lori; grandchildren Greg, Lukacs, Julia and Rae-Anna as well as eight great- grandchildren.
Gus was predeceased by his son-in-law Garry John White. He will be sadly missed by family and friends as well as his extended family at Good Samaritans Park Meadows.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Monday, April 25, 2022 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 Street South, Lethbridge.
A Funeral Service for Gus will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, April 25, 2022 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 Street South, Lethbridge, with Pastor Luke Watson, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Royal View Cemetery.
