Mildred “Millie” Gaudry

1931 – 2022

Mildred (MILLIE) Joyce McKenzie GAUDRY passed away on April 25, 2022 at Chinook Regional Hospital, at the age of 91 years.

She is survived by her son Lee (Judi) Gaudry of Calgary; daughters Sue (Zoltan) Nagy of Lethbridge, Berna (Brian) Holland of Calgary; and Grandson’s Justin Nagy and Joe Nagy both of Lethbridge. She was beloved ‘Aunt Millie” to many nieces and nephews.

Millie was pre-deceased by her husband Jim Gaudry; parents Alexander and Ali McKenzie; eight siblings, and all of her in-laws from both sides.

Mom was born on April 22, 1931 and raised on the family farm near Goodwater, Saskatchewan. She was the baby of the family and after her father passed away in 1948, her mother and her moved into town to Weybum.

Mom met Dad at a dance near Weyburn when she was 22 and from there, the adventure began. It took them to many different homes across Western Canada, Oklahoma, as well as overseas to England and Scotland. Eventually they landed in the Lethbridge area and where she resided until her passing. She travelled a lot over all those years, going on to a new town and making a cozy new home for her family. Mom’s favorite vacation was to Maui in December 1995.

A private family graveside service will take place at Mountain View Cemetery in Lethbridge.
