TRENHOLM, Brian
Posted: July 10th, 2026 BRIAN TRENHOLM 1952 to 2026 It is with great sadness that the family of Brian Trenholm announce his passing on May 28th, 2026 at the Burnaby hospital in Vancouver, B.C. at the age of 73 with his sister Bonnie Forster and nephew Michael Forster at his side.
His love of teaching English in Thailand for many years as well as, previous to that, teaching English at the King George International College in Vancouver enabled him to make loving and lifelong friendships.
Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2022, Brian faced this devasting news and the years following till his passing, in his usual positive and quiet manner.
May he now rest peacefully.
A private family gathering will be held on July 10th, 2026. Brian would have been 74 on this date.

Dear Bonnie and family,
I am very sorry to hear of Brian’s passing, my brother Tom let me know. I first met Brian (and Bonnie), in Lethbridge many years ago, when we were teenagers. Brian was at my wedding in Vancouver, also many years ago, but sadly we lost touch. Brian had such a kind and lovely way about him, I feel blessed to have known him.
Bonnie, if you are ever free for a coffee, please reach out to me.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Margaret
I met Brian in our late teens. I enjoyed our talks and the person Brian was. He crossed my mind occasionally later in life, wondering how he was and how his life turned out. I can picture him being quite content teaching in Thailand. He was a special and gentle person. I’m glad that I knew him, although it was only briefly. I’m so glad I found this obituary so that I could pass along my condolences to his family.
Keep memories close. I know I will.
