TAYLOR Heather Mary Eaan Taylor (McCormick) passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, at the age of 62, surrounded by her loved ones.
Heather will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and genuine acceptance of others. She had a warm sense of humor and an adventurous spirit that guided her throughout life. Fashionable, classy, and down-to-earth, she was a woman of quiet strength, humility, and grace who had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome, understood, and valued.
Heather expressed her creativity in countless ways. She enjoyed live music, nature, animals, letter writing, crafting, woodworking, and challenging herself with sudoku puzzles. An exceptional cook, Heather could whip up almost any requested dish from memory, making it seem effortless. Her elegant, calligraphy-like penmanship made every letter a treasured keepsake. One of Heather’s proudest accomplishments, second only to raising her children, was earning her Class 1A driver’s licence in 1996. She was often described as the heart of her community, spreading warmth and joy to those around her. Heather treasured sentimental keepsakes, valuing them not for their worth, but for the memories and loved ones they represented. She took great pride in the beautiful garden she lovingly grew from seed each year. With an open heart, she embraced people from all walks of life, always making time to listen and helping others feel seen, heard, and accepted. Her curiosity never faded, and she was always eager to learn something new. Her quick wit and infectious sense of humor brought joy and laughter to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her faith was a constant source of strength, and she remained devoted to it throughout her life.
Heather was predeceased by her infant daughter, Alice Elizabeth Ann Wiggett, and her father, Peter Bernard (Bernie) McCormick. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Kim and Mason; her grandson, Sebastian; her mother, Betty, and stepfather, Morgan; her siblings; extended family; and countless friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness, generosity, and unwavering friendship. Heather’s love, laughter, and genuine caring spirit will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Heather’s life and a private burial service will be held at a later date. In keeping with her wishes, Heather will be laid to rest in Bienfait, Saskatchewan, where she will be reunited with her beloved daughter, Alice.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Heather’s dearest friends, Rena Balfour and Rob Baumann of Lethbridge, AB; Lorraine Lukye of Lethbridge, AB; and Pastor Ron Braun and his wife, MaryAnne, of North Battleford, SK. Your unconditional love, friendship, and support were a constant source of comfort throughout Heather’s life and were deeply felt by both Heather and her family during her final days. Your kindness will never be forgotten and will continue to live on through the lives of her children.
Those wishing to honour Heather’s memory are invited to plant a perennial or a tree in her name – a living tribute to her enduring love of gardening and the joy she found in helping things grow. Donations may also be made to your local food bank, a cause that was close to Heather’s heart.
