JEANETTE MARIE DUNLOP (NÉE LEE) 1950 ~ 2026 Jeanette Marie Dunlop passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge, Alberta, on August 3, 2026 at the age of 76, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Jeanette was born on June 19, 1950, in Raymond, Alberta. She was raised on the family farm where she developed a lifelong love of animals and the outdoors. A true tomboy in her younger years, she enjoyed farm life and was an active participant in 4-H. She graduated from Foremost High School in 1968 before attending Garbutt-Henderson College where she earned her Secretarial Diploma.
On September 15, 1973, Jeanette married Don Dunlop. Together, they made their home in Magrath, Alberta, where they began raising their family. They welcomed their son, Trevor in February 1976 and their daughter, Terra in April 1977.
In the early 1980s, Jeanette began what would become a long and rewarding career with the Government of Alberta. She spent many years working in Registries, where she became a familiar and friendly face to countless people throughout the Lethbridge area. It has often been said that if you had a driver’s license, registered a vehicle, or completed government paperwork in Lethbridge, chances are you knew Jeanette. She was respected for her knowledge, professionalism, and willingness to help everyone who came through the door.
Above all else, Jeanette was devoted to her family. She found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved and was always ready with a warm smile, a listening ear and quiet encouragement. Her strength, kindness and generous spirit touched the lives of many and will be remembered always.
Jeanette is lovingly remembered by her son Trevor (Jessica and Kaya); her daughter Terra (Dayton and Theta); as well as her extended family and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Eddie and Mary Lee.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Chinook Regional Hospital 3B for the compassionate care they provided during Jeanette’s final days.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, with Dr. Bruce Martin officiating. Interment to follow at Archmount Cemetery.
