THOMPSON DUNCAN CHARLES THOMPSON, beloved husband of Barbara Gorham Thompson, passed away in Cardston, Alberta on Friday, September 11, 2026 at the age of 73 years.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 18 at 2:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Magrath Stake Center (21 E 1st Ave S.).
Friends may meet the family on Friday from 1:00 – 1:45 pm prior to the service.
Interment will follow in the Spring Coulee Cemetery.

I was incredibly saddened to hear of the passing of Duncan. I had the pleasure of dealing with him on a number of files throughout my legal career and he ALWAYS conducted himself in a friendly, professional and courteous manner. I ran my very first Queen’s Bench trial (as it was referred to back then) in 2003 and then again “against” him in 2016. Although we were opposing counsel, and he strongly advocated for his client(s), he was a pleasure to deal with even in a contentious and stressful environment. He was a true gentleman, a credit to our profession and I always enjoyed talking with him. He will be greatly missed!
