EDD L. WALTER 1955 ~ 2026 It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of a dear husband, father, grandfather and friend, Edd Walter of Lomond Colony, he passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, due to a massive heart attack at the age of 71 years.
Edd was born on May 12, 1955, at West Raley Colony. In 1974 he moved to Gold Ridge where he married his loving wife Lydia in 1981. In 1984 he moved to Lomond Colony where he resided until his passing.
He was a blacksmith and helped with farming and was the chicken boss for many years. His jobs were always “well done” he did them with pride and joy. Edd enjoyed visiting with family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a comment for everyone.
Edd is survived by his loving wife Lydia and four sons, all of Lomond. Glen (Linda), Min Edward (Elizabeth), Terry (Maggie), Richard (Melissa), and 12 grandchildren, Judea, Karen, Saphra, William, Ruthann, Isabelle, Rozlyn, Sierra, Megan, Austin, Cyrus, Carolyn, whom he loved dearly. He is also survived by his brother Darius and sisters Rach, Susanna, Marie (Mike) and Dorothy of Lomond, Sara (Darius) of Warden, Washington, Lydia (Walt) of Cameron Farms, Annie (Joe) of Prairie Elk, Montana, and Lizzy (Min Paul) of Red Willow, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Waiting for him in heaven is his beloved son Gary, parents Chris and Barbara, brother Joe (Justina) and sister Barbara (Moses).
He took trials as they came and never let anything discourage him.
