MARGARET CHALMERS 1925 ~ 2026 Mrs. Margaret Chalmers of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Edward “Ted” Chalmers, passed away at Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, September 19, 2026, leaving her loving family at the age of 101 years.
Margaret was born in Enchant, Alberta. She married Robert “Scotty” Jack in 1946. They lived a very happy life in Sylvan Lake while starting their family and being active in the community. Scotty was eventually transferred by Calgary Power to Lethbridge where they continued to enjoy raising their family and making many new friendships. Scotty passed away in 1976. She later married Edward “Ted” Chalmers. They enjoyed many years traveling in their motor home and taking ocean cruises worldwide. Ted passed away in 2018.
Margaret enjoyed knitting, painting and sketching, as well as playing cards with family and friends. Family was everything to her and she devoted a lot of time and effort in keeping the family together and connected.
Margaret is lovingly remembered by her daughter Lori (Randy) Lowe and her sons James (Holly) Jack, Ken (Lorraine) Jack and stepchildren James (Cheri) Chalmers and Cathy (Randy) Paul. She was the proud Grammy to nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
There will be a private family interment and memorial service.
Flowers respectfully declined. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Chinook Regional Health Foundation.

A private Celebration of Life will be held by the family.
