Marianne Irene Lamb It is with great sadness that the family of Marianne Irene Lamb (nee Ward) wishes to announce her passing with family in attendance, after a brief battle with cancer, on October 28, 2026, at the Red Deer Hospital at the age of 53 years.
Marianne is survived by her loving husband, Lance Lamb; daughters, Gillian Rose Lamb and Pyper Janine Lamb; twin sister, Michelle Dawn Ward; nieces, Abby Mae Scott (Jack Wilkinson) and Janelle Kate Scott; father Brian Ward; aunt Mary Joan Barrett (Diane Cote); mother in-law, Janine Lamb; uncle, Lorrie Ward (Jean Ward); cousins, Brodie Ward and Jennifer Ward; and many wonderful friends.
Marianne was predeceased by her mother, Margaret Rose Ward.
Marianne spent most of her career with Royal Bank of Canada, with the last decade and a half as a branch manager in Red Deer, Sylvan Lake and Lacombe. She loved her coworkers and clients and volunteered within these communities as much as she could. She spent her formative years in Calgary and Lethbridge and moved to Lacombe in 1997.
Marianne loved to travel with her husband, daughters and friends, including annual trips to the Okanagan, multiple cruises and frequent vacations in Mexico, Arizona and Nevada. She enjoyed volunteering with the community and spreading joy and love to all. Marianne was a beautiful soul as well as the most magnificent mother, wife, sister, aunt daughter, and friend that anyone could ask for.
A Private Family Service will be held for Marianne at Wilson’s Funeral Chapel in Lacombe, Alberta on Thursday, November 5, 2026.
Special thanks to the Red Deer Hospital for the care and kindness shown to Marianne and her family during her final days. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alberta Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
