GRACE YAYEKO OSHIRO January 2, 1931 – November 3, 2026 With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce that Grace Yayeko Oshiro passed away peacefully on November 3, 2026, at the age of 95, with her family by her side.
Grace lived with peace, grace, and dignity, treating others with kindness and respect. She gave her heart and soul to her family and friends, and her love for them never wavered.
Grace was a loving wife to George Oshiro and a devoted mother to her eldest daughter, Diane Oshiro-Komaric, and her youngest daughter, Elaine Beekman. She held her sons-in-law, the late Joe and Frank Beekman, close to her heart and dearly loved her six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Grace loved gardening and was an excellent cook and baker. She shared what she grew and what she made with the people she loved. Her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will honour her memory by carrying on the recipes, traditions, and kindness she passed down to them.
Grace will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A private family ceremony and celebration of life will be held.
In lieu of flowers or monetary gifts to the family, donations in Grace’s memory to Diabetes Canada would be deeply appreciated.
