TURNBULL, Gordon

Gordon Edwin Turnbull 1946-2026 Mr. Gordon Edwin Turnbull of Pincher Creek, AB passed away October 31, 2026, at Foothills Hospital, Calgary following cardiac surgery.
Gordon was born at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Pincher Creek and grew up on the family farm in the Halifax Flats district. He attended Halifax School and Matthew Halton High School in Pincher Creek, AB.
Gordon worked on the family farm until he started his business, Turnbull Trucking. His passion was trucking and he loved nothing better than delivering gravel to his numerous customers throughout southern Alberta.
When Gordon wasn’t hauling, he enjoyed spending time at Tim Hortons with his many friends.
Gordon was predeceased by his wife, Lillian; his parents, W.J. (Bill) and Annie Turnbull; his brother, Rodney Turnbull; and his brother-in-law, Richard Chase.
He is survived by sisters, Alice Chase and Beverley (Ed) Potter; sister-in-law Carol Ann Turnbull; nephews, Curtis Turnbull (Nanette) and their children, Kimberly (Ross), Kelly and Dyllan; Trevor Potter (Becky) and their children, Sophie and Naomi.
Also surviving are his nieces, Shannon Scherger (Ken) and Gordon’s great nephews, Tyler and Tomas; Catherine Burke and her children, Jillian and Ethan and by Lillian’s daughter, Carrie Ann.
Gordon’s Memorial service will be held at Snodgrass Funeral Home, Pincher Creek, AB on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 1:00pm with Reverend Trevor Potter officiating.
