Mr. Gregory James Wiedemann of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, October 10th, 2012 at the age of 53 years. Greg leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Rachel Wiedemann; his mother, Betty Wiedemann; two brothers, Roger (Jeet) Wiedemann and Barry (Loreen) Wiedemann; two sisters, Judy (Wayne) Knight and Joan (Bill) Glockner; Rachels mother, Nancy Reihl; Rachels grandparents, June and Allen Donst; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Greg was predeceased by his father, Victor Wiedemann. Greg was born in Medicine Hat on February 3rd, 1959 and attended and graduated from Irvine High School. He then went on to attend Medicine Hat College and the University of Lethbridge graduating with a Bachelor of Management Degree. Greg loved photography and was a member of the Medicine Hat Photography Club. He also enjoyed fishing, camping and travelling. Greg will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in FIFTH AVENUE MEMORIAL UNITED CHURCH, 476 – 4th Street SE, on Saturday, October 13th, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Kevin Johnston officiating. Interment will follow in the Family Plot at Hillside Cemetery. Memorial gifts in Gregs memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 102 – 1865 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 1Z8. I met Greg several times through Barry and Loreen, at their wedding and other gatherings over the years. I was very sorry to hear of his passing. Please know we are thinking of you and hold you in our hearts.

I am very saddened by the passing of Greg. Many years have come and gone and we had lost touch. I truly regret that. He was always one of the good guys. Even though we had not seen each other in a long while, I will miss him. You are all in my thoughts.
