1925 ~ 2012
The family of David Herman, beloved husband of Olive Herman, announce his passing at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at the age of 87 years.  Along with Olive, his loving wife of over 62 years, David leaves to cherish his memory two children:  Linda (Jan) Larsen of Sicamous, B.C., and Andy (Karen) Herman of Redcliff.  He is also survived by six grandchildren and their families;   sister, Irene Hayward;  brother, Robert Herman as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents, Ed and Amelia Herman;  one brother, Lawrence as well as brother-in-law, Norman Hayward.  David was born to Ed and Amelia Herman in Eagle Butte, Alberta on October 13, 1925.  He lived and worked a number of years in Calgary, Alberta, and it was there that he and Olive raised their family.  In 1994, they left Calgary, making Medicine Hat their home.  Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Monday, November 5, 2012, between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.  A Celebration of David’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. with interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery.  (Condolences may be expressed by visiting www.cook southland.com)  If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 102 Crestwood Square One, 1865 Dunmore Road S.E., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 1Z8.  Honoured to serve the family is COOK SOUTHLAND Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 4V4.  Telephone:  403-527-6455.
