Mr. Garry Glass passed away quietly in his sleep at his home at the Good Samaritan in Medicine Hat on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the age of 83. Garry is survived by his two children, Murray (Joan) Glass, Debbie (Mike) Strother; three grandchildren, Ashley, Dolan and Matthew as well as two great- grandchildren, Evan and Emrie. He is also survived by two sisters, Sally and Ruth. Garry was predeceased by his wife, Lois who passed away on November 21, 1990. Garry has lived at the Good Samaritan for many years where he has done countless hours of volunteer work and contributed to many cavities because he was always handing out candy to the nurses and staff at Good Sams and at the Medicine Hat Hospital. He will always be remembered as The Candy Man. The Funeral Service will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Barrett Scheske officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
