Mr. Garry Norman Bower, beloved husband of Mrs. Linda Bower, passed away peacefully with family at his side at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Friday, April 18, 2014, after a year and a half battle with cancer. He was 71. Garry was born and raised in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan where he farmed until retiring in 2000. He and Linda then moved to Medicine Hat where Garry worked part-time for Schlenker Auction and enjoyed his retirement. He took great pleasure in going for coffee with friends, spending time with his wife and children, and attending his grandsons activities. Garry leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Linda; daughter, Brenda (Stephanie Martin); son, Kris (Deanna); grandsons, Wyatt and Keaton; brothers, Ron and Jim; an aunt Joyce as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. In honour of Garrys life, an informal come-and-go gathering for family and friends will be held in the Cook Southland Reception Facility, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Thursday, April 24, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Private Columbarium placement will take place at Hillside Cemetery later in the day.
