Her family was very important to her and the largest hat she wore was being the sole caregiver to her mom for the past seventeen years. She was an avid fan of all sports. Elaine participated in wheelchair sports for years competing in many countries, and was the proud recipient of over one hundred medals and accolades. Elaine worked for the Attorney Generals Department, Edmonton, the Northern Lights Wheelchair Association, and most important of all to her was her position with the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Team as Assistant Public Relations Director for nine years. She loved every moment!!

Our deepest condolences to Elaine’s family. Elaine and I competed against each other in some sports and then, together, as members of Canada’s National Womens Wheelchair Basketball Team for many years. Elaine was a great friend and a very caring one. Alex and I are so thankful we got in a visit with her when we came thru in the summer of 2013. I will truly miss her and her awesome Christmas greetings. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
