KISINGER, Archie
Posted: April 20th, 2017September 10, 1925 – April 17, 2017
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father Archie. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Robert (Carol) Kisinger and Valerie (Frank) de Deugd, as well as his grandchildren Jason (Janet), Darren (Courtney), John, Richard (Rachael), Alexander and Janelle and one great-grandchild, Charlotte. He was predeceased by his loving wife Verna in 2006 and daughter Bonelle Marie in 1955. He is also survived by his sister Alma and sister-in-law Norma. Dad grew up in Medicine Hat, along with his seven siblings and lots of friends, and had more than enough adventures to fill a book. Following his 41 year career with Scott National he continued to live, with great laughter, his life to the fullest. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Reverend Bob Mutlow and members of McDougall United Church. Special thanks to the TBCC staff, especially Dr. W. B. Blahey and his nurse Belinda, Esther and her amazing home care team, Tanya and her AHS team, and Dr. S. Rajadurai and his staff. As were Dad’s wishes, an open house will be held at his home in Calgary, on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, c/o the Alberta Cancer Foundation. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family by visiting leydens.com.
