VIOLET FAIRLESS
Posted: September 1st, 2017Violet Florence Fairless, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary on Monday, August 28, 2017, at the age of 83 years while surrounded by her loving family. Violet was born in Medicine Hat. She met her husband George and was married in 1956. She worked for many years as a ladies ready wear clerk at Eatons Department Store. Violet touched many lives with her years of volunteering with the Canadian Cancer Society. She loved getting together with her long time friends and neighbors of Mckenzie Cres. Violet is survived by her three children, Gayle (Perry) Gagley, Greg (Mona) Fairless and Garth (Cindy) Fairless. She also leaves four grandchildren, Jason (Kerri), Jenn, Ashley, and Johnathan. She also leaves to cherish eight great-grandchildren. Violet is also survived by her special partner, Art Grove, and his beautiful extended family. Violet was predeceased by her parents; husband, George, two sisters and a brother. Vi’s smile and laugh could light up any room, she had a heart of gold and was an incredible friend of many. She loved her second home in Yuma Arizona, in which, she spent her winters surrounded by many good friends. The celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. Dear Art, and Vi’s loving family. I’m so very sorry to hea of Vi’s passing. We at Mauros loved when she and Art returned from Arizona. She is easily one of the nicest, funniest persons I have had the pleasure of waiting on. I will miss her dearly.

I am devastated to hear about Vi. My deepest condolences to the Family and Art and extended Family She was like Sunshine and I did not get to spend as much time as I would have liked with her but she was one of the most Loving and Caring People I have ever had the privilege to know. Take Care of each Other and be as Strong as you can. G-d Bless all of you. The World has lost an Amazing Woman she will be missed by Many.
