Posted: January 12th, 20181959 ~ 2018
The convoy to Heaven has welcomed one of the best on life’s highway. Jack passed away on January 6, 2018, at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital after a hard fought battle with cancer. Jack leaves to mourn his beloved wife, the love of his life, Robin; parents, Tom and Arlene Nicoll; brother, Rick Nicoll (friend, RoseAnne Selinger) and sister-in-law, Randi Ulmer. He also leaves to mourn a special “niece”, Lacey Holowaty; aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends all over Western Canada; especially his treasured German Shepherd, Skye. Waiting to greet Jack are his grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and his cherished friends and pets that have gone before him. To all who knew him in the trucking industry and beyond, Jack was always there when someone needed him. His quick wit, hard work ethic and generous nature were well known to everyone in his life. Jack never expected anything in return and if you knew him, he considered you his friend. A time of visitation will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, on Friday, January 12, 2018, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and then again on Saturday, January 13, 2018, beginning at 12:00 p.m. The Celebration of Jack’s life, will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations in Jack’s name may be made directly to the Rescue Pet Society (Persian Dreams &  Canine Themes) or to the SPCA.
