1962 ~ ROBERT “BOB” HARRITY ~ 2018
Posted: June 4th, 2018Robert Scott Harrity passed away peacefully at home with family at his side on May 18, 2018 after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his parents, Harry and Sally, he is survived by his beloved wife, Cibelle Rulona Harrity; his brother, Ted (Christine) Harrity; and sisters, Colleen (Ronald) Bruce, Joanne (Bill) Harrity Bradbury, and Lynn (Curt) Lester. Bob was adored by his many nieces and nephews.
“Sunward I’ve climbed, and
done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of —
wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence.”
Flying was Bob’s life and passion. A proud veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force, Bob went into commercial aviation when he retired. He first managed the flight school in Okotoks, inspiring and teaching others to fly, and then flew aerial surveys with Aries Aviation International, which took him all over the world. The only drawback was the time spent away from family. On his return, he would always travel to see his wife or visit siblings, nieces and nephews. Bob will be missed for his dry wit and gentle spirit. Eternal blue skies Bob.
