1932 ~ LOU FYTEN ~ 2018
Posted: September 25th, 2018Llewellyn Leo “Lou” Fyten of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of the late Eleanor Fyten passed away on Friday, September 14th, 2018 at the age of 86 years. Lou leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Darrel Fyten of Calgary and Lorne Fyten of St. Paul; daughters, Ardith (Randy) Akerstrom and Donna (Tim Yamazaki) Cayenne of Medicine Hat; seven grandchildren, Chantel Akerstrom, Kyle (Kayla) Akerstrom, Jesse Cayenne, Justin Cayenne, Matthew Stokes, Nicole (Brandon Yamazaki) Jobling and Vanessa Yamazaki; one great-grandchild, Cameron; three brothers, Edmund (Vera) Fyten, Marvin (Ruth) Fyten and Adrian (Barbara) Fyten; one sister, Leola (Ken) Harde; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lou was predeceased by his loving wife, Eleanor; his parents, Edward and Marie Fyten; two brothers, Robert and Elwood; and one daughter-in-law, Sylvia Fyten. Lou was born in Swallwell, Alberta in 1932. He spent his military years in the Airforce and then went on to work in many mechanical jobs. Lou was a friend to all and will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, on Saturday, September 29th, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Dallas Hjorth officiating. Dear Family,
On behalf of my siblings, I offer you our deepest condolences on Uncle Lou’s passing. While, for reasons beyond the control of us as children, we did not spend much time with Uncle Lou and Auntie Eleanor, I have fond memories of both of them. Uncle Lou still looks like Uncle Lou.
