May 21, 1934 ~ October 17, 2018

With great sadness we announce the passing of Ronald Evans Gottlieb Felske on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, in Medicine Hat at the age of 84 years. Ron was born on the farm near Nokomis, Saskatchewan to parents, Emanuel and Wanda Felske, the second youngest in a family of 6 children. Ron leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Linda (Ron) Moynes of Medicine Hat, Alberta and his son, Stan Felske of Edson, Alberta; grandchildren, Tyler Moynes, Mykayla (Shawn) Jones all of Medicine Hat, Alberta and Wyatt Felske of Edson, Alberta; his brother, Arnold Felske; sister, Muriel Jasko; sisters-in-law, Shirley (Wayne) Edwards and Donna (Irwin Goertzen) Carlson, Mary Felske as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Emanuel and Wanda Felske; brother, Lloyd Felske and two sisters, Maeolla Cosco and Phyllis Miekle; sister-in-law, Phyllis Felske; brothers-in-law, Joe Cosco and Ronald Jasko and nephew, Gary Miekle; mother and father-in-law, Agnes and Joseph Henry as well as brothers-in-law, Robert Henry and Ivan Carlson. Ron was born and raised in Nokomis, Saskatchewan where he married Mary Henry in 1957. He worked for Saskatchewan Highways for quite a few years and they moved around to several different communities. He moved the family to Slave Lake, Alberta to look for work in the oil patch. Ron worked as a heavy equipment operator (running cats) in various locations in northern Alberta and up in the Arctic for awhile. Wanting to try something different, he moved the family to Kelowna, B.C. to try his hand at selling Real Estate. After a brief time of a few years he travelled back to Edson to work in the oil patch again. He went to work at Contour Construction as a heavy equipment operator once again. His mind was always inventing something… C shaped coffee end tables, weiner forks (no points), garbage bag holder stands and cup holders for camping. He enjoyed laughter to the fullest and if you were teased you were loved. A private family interment will take place next summer.
