LYALL McKAY

Mr. Lyall Mervin Earl McKay, beloved husband of Shirley, passed away peacefully at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at the age of 84 years. Along with Shirley, Lyall leaves to cherish his memory: son, Brian (Doris) McKay; daughter, Lynda (Rob) Witty; grandchildren, Randy (Ally) Witty, Josh (Lisa) Witty, Tyler (Megan) McKay, Jarred (Kaitlyn) McKay; great-grandchildren, Aubree, Charlotte, Ryker, Maverick and Henry; siblings, Larry McKay, Myrna Hockley and Patti Nauta as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Earl McKay and mother, Lucille McKay. Lyall was born in Balcarres, SK., on March 9, 1938. He worked for 331/2 years with British American Oil which later became Gulf Oil. He enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing, golfing and stamp collecting. Lyall’s life will be honoured and his memory cherished without the proceedings of a formal service.
