MARLENE WALKER 1942 ~ 2026 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great‑grandmother, Marlene Walker (nee Szlachta), who left us on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the age of 84 years in Chestermere, AB.
Marlene is lovingly remembered by her children: Erwin Jr., Rod and Marilyn (Mike); her grandchildren: Braden (Sara), Rylea (Jordan), Brody (Adrianna), Taylor (Drew) and Cody as well as her cherished great‑grandson, Bowen.
She is also survived by her sister, Shirley along with many nieces and nephews.
Marlene has now been reunited with the love of her life, her husband Erwin Sr., who predeceased her in 2005.
The family would like to thank the compassionate staff at AgeCare Dawson and Strathmore District Health Acute Care for the care and kindness shown to Marlene in her final months.
A private family interment will take place at a later date.
