SUE LAROCK 1968 ~ 2026
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Sue Colleen Larock announces her peaceful passing in the comfort of her home in the presence of family on Sunday, May 30, 2026, at the age of 57 years.
Sue was born on August 6, 1968, in Lethbridge and was raised on the family farm west of Barons. She attended elementary school in Barons and later completed her high school education in Nobleford. The values of hard work, family, and community that she learned growing up on the farm remained with her throughout her life.
Sue married Derwin Larock in a ceremony held at home on the farm near Medicine Hat. They were blessed with a son, Logan, who was the light of her life!
Sue worked as a dental assistant, a profession that allowed her caring nature and warm personality to shine. She was known for her kindness, gentle spirit, and genuine concern for others.
In her younger years, Sue enjoyed riding horses and spending time outdoors. Throughout her life she found joy in scrapbooking, preserving treasured memories for family and friends. One of her greatest pleasures was cheering on her son, Logan, whether from the baseball diamond or the hockey rink. She rarely missed an opportunity to support and encourage him.
Sue was an avid sports fan who enjoyed basketball, skiing, and faithfully following the Toronto Blue Jays. Among her favorite memories included a trip to Disneyland and a special trip to Toronto to watch the Blue Jays play in person an experience she cherished.
Sue will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Derwin; her son, Logan; a brother, Brad (Leanne) Andrekson and family and a sister, Jackie (Mitch) Mifflin; Derwin’s family, Greg and Shawn, Elaine and David, Sharon and Brian and their families as well as many friends. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Joan Andrekson.
Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the love she shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
