DARRY HEIDINGER
Posted: June 6th, 2026 DARRY HEIDINGER 1953 ~ 2026 Darry Allen Heidinger of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Sharon Heidinger, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at St. Michael’s Palliative Care, at the age of 73 years.
Darry was born in Medicine Hat and lived there until 2016. He attended Medicine Hat High School as well as the University of Saskatchewan, where he received a long-term care administration and management degree.
Later, he co-owned Mickey’s Transfer, and after that, he worked at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital and surrounding areas for 32 years as the manager of the environment and linen services. After he moved to Lethbridge, he also worked part-time at the Chinook Regional Hospital.
Darry had a wide variety of interests. He was a member of the Mountain Bluebird Trails Conservation Society. He enjoyed swimming, reading, fishing, camping, photography, music, and travel. He also excelled in a wide variety of sports for which he received many accolades.
He was an exceptional husband, father, and grandfather.
He will be remembered for his faith in God, doing his best at whatever he did, treating others with respect, and his sense of humour. If you knew him, it’s a guarantee you laughed with him.
Besides his loving wife Sharon, Darry is survived by his children Nicole Running and Jared Heidinger, as well as grandchildren Jaxon, Grace, and Sophie Heidinger, Liam Stronsmoe; and Ella, Jordyn, and Ashlyn Running.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ruben and Rose Heidinger, and his brother Allan Heidinger.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Those who wish may make donations to either the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Jack Ady Cancer Centre (Chinook Regional Hospital), or Covenant Health St. Michael’s Palliative Care Unit.
