LLOYD HANNA 1957 2026 With heavy hearts, the family of Lloyd Arne Hanna announce his passing on June 18, 2026. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Debbie; two daughters, Delanie (Dustin) Boire and Dara (Brett) Bartman; and two wonderful granddaughters.
Lloyd is survived by six siblings. The youngest of 12 children, he was predeceased by his parents, Evelyn and Harold Hanna.
Lloyd was born on May 19, 1957 in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan where he spent his youth and made big plans for his future. Lloyd and Debbie shared over 40 years of marriage, which began with a Las Vegas elopement. They ultimately settled down in Medicine Hat, Alberta where they planted their roots, spread their wings, and raised their family.
Lloyd and Debbie were the proud owners of Hanna Bros. Construction. This lifelong endeavor allowed Lloyd to balance family and work as he was a devoted Dad to his daughters throughout their childhood and into adulthood. He built many homes around Medicine Hat and was proud of this work, but his biggest achievement in life was his family. Lloyd welcomed his two sons-in-law with open arms and extended that same love to his four grand-dogs. The arrival of his two granddaughters brought a new light and joy into his life.
Lloyd enjoyed camping, golfing, fishing, a good sandwich, and spending summers in Kananaskis, squished into the family trailer, or at the family cabin in Cypress Hills. Over the years, the crew shared many special trips together, with New York City being a highlight they will cherish forever.
Lloyd built a family with love and loved the family he helped build. His loved ones will hold all of the joyous memories close.
A come and go gathering to remember Lloyd will be held on Saturday July 18, 2026, at the Holiday Inn (9 Strachan Bay SE) in Medicine Hat between 10:00am 11:30am.
